飯店入住英文怎麼開口？

到櫃檯（front desk）先說 Hi, I have a reservation under the name ___.，意思是「我有訂房，名字是___」；under the name 就是「用…的名字」訂的。

標「聽」的是櫃檯人員會說的話，標「說」的是你可以照著說的回答；✗ 是常見的錯誤說法，△ 是聽得懂但不自然的說法。點英文旁邊的按鈕，可以聽發音。

  • 報上訂房的名字

    說Hi, I have a reservation under the name Lin.

    你好，我有訂房，名字是林。

    說I'd like to check in, please.

    我要辦理入住。

    ✗I want check in.

    報你訂房時填的英文姓名就好。I want check in. 少了 to，語氣也太直接，說 I'd like to check in, please. 比較有禮貌。

    聽May I see your passport, please?

    可以看一下您的護照嗎？

    聽Here's your key card. Your room is on the eighth floor.

    這是您的房卡，您的房間在八樓。

    key card 是房卡。樓層用「第幾」的說法：on the eighth floor（在八樓）、on the third floor（在三樓）。

被問住幾晚：How many nights are you staying?

How many nights are you staying? 是「請問要住幾晚？」，回答 Three nights.（三晚）就好；「住三晚」是 three nights，說 three days 會讓人搞不清楚你到底住幾晚。

    回答範例

    說Three nights.

    三晚。

    說Just one night.

    只住一晚。

    說Until Sunday.

    住到星期天。

    也可以直接說住到哪一天：Until Sunday.（住到星期天）。

入住時順便問：早餐、退房時間、Wi-Fi

入住時最值得順便問的三件事是：有沒有含早餐（Is breakfast included?）、幾點退房（What time is check-out?），還有 Wi-Fi 密碼（What's the Wi-Fi password?）。

    櫃檯可能這樣回答

    聽It's at eleven. Breakfast is served from seven to ten.

    十一點退房。早餐從七點供應到十點。

    included 是「包含在內」。served 是「供應（餐點）」，from seven to ten 是「從七點到十點」。

被問「還需要什麼嗎？」怎麼回答

櫃檯問 Is there anything else I can help you with?，意思是「還有什麼需要幫忙的嗎？」；需要東西就用 Could I get…? 開口，不需要就說 No, that's all. Thank you.。

    跟櫃檯要東西說 Could I get…?，比 Please give me… 自然。another 是「再一個」，後面接單數：another pillow。

    說Is late check-out possible?

    可以晚點退房嗎？

    說Is there an extra charge?

    要另外收費嗎？

    有些飯店晚退房要另外收費，先問 Is there an extra charge? 比較安心。

房間有問題，英文怎麼說？

東西壞了用 isn't working 或 doesn't work：冷氣壞了是 The air conditioner isn't working.；燈打不開是 The light doesn't turn on.，不要照中文說 The light can't open.。

    櫃檯接著可能問

    說It's room 805.

    805 號房。

    房號通常一個數字一個數字念，805 念 eight oh five，0 常念成 oh。冷氣是 air conditioner，口語常說 AC。

  • 中文直翻最常錯的地方

    ✗The light can't open.

    ✓The light doesn't turn on.

    燈打不開。

    ✗The air conditioner is not work.

    ✓The air conditioner isn't working.

    冷氣壞了。

    燈、冷氣這類東西用 turn on、turn off，不用 open：開燈是 turn on the light，不是 open the light。壞掉說 isn't working 或 doesn't work，is not work 文法不對。

    說Could you send someone to fix it?

    可以派人來修嗎？

    說Could I change rooms, please?

    我可以換房間嗎？

    先說問題，再請對方處理，語氣客氣但清楚。換房間要用複數：change rooms。

退房時怎麼說？

退房就說 I'd like to check out, please.（我要退房）；退房後還想出去逛，可以問 Could I leave my luggage here until three?，請飯店幫你寄放行李到三點。

    說Could I leave my luggage here until three?

    我可以把行李寄放在這裡到三點嗎？

    luggage 是不可數名詞，不能加 s；要數的時候說 two bags 或 two pieces of luggage。until 是「直到」。

常見問題

「我有訂房」英文怎麼說？

說 I have a reservation.，後面加上名字就是 I have a reservation under the name Lin.（我有訂房，名字是林）。也可以說 I have a booking.，意思一樣。

「住三晚」英文怎麼說？

說 three nights，例如 I'm staying for three nights.，被問的時候也可以直接回答 Three nights.。不要說 three days，對方會搞不清楚你到底住幾晚。

「冷氣壞了」英文怎麼說？

說 The air conditioner isn't working.，口語也常說 The AC isn't working.。燈打不開則是 The light doesn't turn on.，不說 The light can't open.。

「可以晚點退房嗎？」英文怎麼說？

說 Is late check-out possible?。有些飯店晚退房要另外收費，可以接著問 Is there an extra charge?（要另外收費嗎？）。
